"Salvaging the Wreckage" A Memoir in Verse Available Now!!

.
This memoir in verse captures my deep spiritual crisis in child abuse, parental alcoholism, suicide, murder and homelessness. Every unanswered prayer felt like betrayal. The tears I cried in anguish and despair, tears of hopelessness, not understanding my life as it unfolded.
If you are in that same shattered valley right now, precious reader, hear this from someone who once laid crushed on the floor, HE HAS NOT LEFT YOU!

My name is “Maggie”, and I like to write,
sometimes heavy, and sometimes light.
I write about silly things and sometimes sad.
I write about the good times, as well as the bad.
My life has been an open book, of things that I have done,
the choices that I’ve made, and battles that I’ve won.
I write about the pain, intense as it may be,
I write about the love, that has surrounded me.
I write because I have to, these verses fill my head,
and when I write them down, I’m usually tucked in bed.
A poem can come at any time, it’s topic always new,
my inspiration comes from God, and what He’s brought me through.
From childhood to adolescence, adulthood and old age,
my seasons of life, at each and every stage.
I’d like to share my work with you, and moved I pray you’ll be,
and listen to each message, as you learn about me.
We all feel joy, we all feel pain, our struggles might be different,
I can guarantee that “change” will be consistent.
So, I step out in faith, that these words will help you through,
and give some hope, when times get tough,
for these words, have helped me too.
